The organically crafted Clementine Essential Oil we use is cold pressed from the fresh vitamin-rich rinds of mature Citrus Clementina fruits cultivated in the sun-kissed orchards of Italy. Since my heritage on my mother’s side is from Italy – Venice, Palermo and Cicily, I thought it appropriate to use this lusciously smelling oil. The Clementine Oil we use has a citrusy, sweet, and tangy-green aroma and reminds me of walking in my backyard when my cocktail fruite trees were just blossoming. In ancient times, Clementines were referred to as crown jewel of the Mandarin family. The clergyman Pierre Clement is credited with crossing a Mandarin and an Orange. What a wonderful result.
